Warranty Policy


Shelly Landscaping provides a one-year warranty on workmanship, plants, parts, and labor from the completion date of the work. For plants, they must meet the following criteria: 

  • Be watered by a functioning automatic irrigation system. 
  • Be appropriately maintained to meet their basic needs. 
  • Be sourced by Shelly Landscaping.


Warranty coverage on workmanship does not apply to:

  • Damage caused by root growth, root expansion, settlement, or the natural growth characteristics of trees and plants. This is in reference to irrigation systems, walls, concrete, pavement, utilities, foundations, fences, or other improvements. 
  • Hidden, unknown, or pre-existing site conditions, grading deficiencies, utility conflicts, or defects in existing improvements. 
  • Minor cracking, checking, discoloration, or weathering of stucco, concrete, masonry, or other hardscape materials resulting from normal curing, settlement, expansion, contraction, or environmental conditions. 


Warranty coverage of plants does not apply to plant loss resulting from:


  • Transplanting existing plants, 
  • Improper watering,
  • Irrigation system failure, modification, reprogramming, shutdown, or damage after our installation and programming, 
  • Drainage or soil conditions outside of our control,
  • Extreme weather events,
  • Animal damage, 
  • Disease, 
  • Lack of maintenance, 
  • Installations performed against professional recommendation, 
  • Modifications, repairs or alterations performed by others.


Certain plant species may be excluded from warranty coverage or may be subject to modified warranty terms as identified in writing. In the event of a warranty replacement, Shelly Landscaping may replace certain large trees with smaller sizes or different varieties, regardless of the originally installed size. Warranty coverage is limited to one replacement per plant unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. 


All warranty determinations shall be made by Shelly Landscaping based upon professional evaluation of site conditions and circumstances. Any warranty claim must be reported to Shelly Landscaping within thirty (30) days of discovery of the issue.

  • Blue Spruce 
  • Austrian Pine 
  • Pinon Pine
